New theme - Fairy Dreams

Friday, August 1st, 2008

I am developing a custom theme for Prolific Dreamer, so at times the website’s layout will look ugly and probably screwed up while I’m working on it. But, rest assured, the Kubrick theme will be in use a lot of the time for readability until the Fairy Dreams theme is ready for use.

Once I have the theme basically working, I’ll post another entry for feedback purposes so that I can improve the theme as much as possible. Meanwhile, I’ll keep posting entries as usual.

Until then, thank you for your patience!

Welcome to Prolific Dreamer!

Friday, August 1st, 2008

I would like to start off by talking a little bit about Prolific Dreamer’s purpose and the history behind Prolific Dreamer’s creation.

History
In September 2004, I decided to keep a journal of my dreams because I wondered what really went on in my dreams, and I had an interest in metaphysics and spirituality.

In 2006, I decided to document my dreams in blog format, partly because I wanted to share my dreams with like-minded people and partly because I saw it as a way of getting into blogging. My dream journal was documented at Gemma Weirs Dot Com.

During 2007, I decided that my domain could be put to better use, so I ported the entire dream journal (2004 - 2007) from Gemma Weirs Dot Com to the Prolific Dreamer blog at Blogger. You will find the archived dream journal there.

I took a break from blogging and recording my dreams from autumn 2007 until now.

Purpose
I created Prolific Dreamer for the purpose of documenting my dreams and my out of body experiences.

I also hope that these dreams and out of body experiences may serve as a way of teaching my readership how to interpret their dreams, and the meanings of common dream scenarios and dream symbols from a practical perspective.

There will be articles about various dream techniques such as lucid dreaming, converting dreams into lucid dreams, using lucid dreams as a springboard to launch into an out of body experience, and the unpleasant side of dreaming i.e. neg encounters and how to deal with them.
